ABOUT US
Become a Socially and Technologically Savvy Senior Citizen!
During the Pandemic, many senior citizens felt alone and had limited outlets for activity and socialization. Many still feel isolated and would like to better their situations by learning how to communicate and socialize online via virtual platforms like Google Meet and Zoom. Some didn’t have family or friends to show them how to access and utilize Google Meet, Zoom, and other productivity applications like the Google Suite and the Microsoft Office Products. The Senior Hi Project's mission is to solve this problem. It equips senior citizens with the knowledge to become more technologically literate and tech savvy through taking classes where I will visit them either individually or in small groups and teach them the technological skills they need. In addition, seniors will have opportunities to meet and socialize at local venues and events. The project mainly aims to help seniors feel intrinsically valued and increase their self-esteem by allowing them to know that we care about their well-being and are willing to take the time to show them how to become technologically productive citizens in a highly technological society.
